TikTok is adding new amazing and useful features in their app. A few days ago, TikTok test a new educational “Learn” tab. In which people will be able to post and watch new educational videos. After the test of that useful feature, now TikTok expands its parental control. New updates are privacy related. Parents will be able to control their teen’s accounts include search, commenting, and account privacy. Already parents can restrict their kid’s messages.
Now parents will be able to stop their kids from searching for videos, hashtags, and sounds. TikTok already offers an age-restricted mode, which adds age restrictions to accounts. It hides some inappropriate videos from kids. TikTok’s new update is similar to that feature, but it gives more control to parents. Parents can connect their accounts with their teen ager’s accounts. After connecting the account, parents will be able to keep an eye on their kid’s accounts. Teenagers can disable this feature at any time. But, when they will disable it, parents will be notified. So, it is not easy to stop this feature for teenagers.
It is a positive sign for parents. And it shows that TikTok is taking the kid’s safety seriously. Now parents shouldn’t worry about what their kids are watching and searching on TikTok. TikTok says the new parental controls are rolling out to all users worldwide.
